In my elementary school, we had an art teacher who hated white spaces on our canvases. Also, their was never a piece that went into the art show that hadn't been fixed by her. My sister and I, along with my parents used to joke how it was really Mrs. -----'s show. Every time we presented her with our finished product, she would take it and make changes to it. I think it would have been more positive if she made suggestions and let us leave the white parts on our art pieces

2. Can a person create art with no formal background?
